Big Music For Little Ears

This mini music festival was delivered in partnership with Glasgow Life, Glasgow Building Preservation Trust, and Live Music Now.

A variety of traditional and classical musical groupings delivered the festival over a week in residence at the bandstand.  This involved exposing nursery-age children to high quality live music performed in the Bandstand and Amphitheatre’s open air setting.

On three week days we worked with local nursery groups, bringing them to the bandstand and  on stage with the musicians for interactive sessions from Champagne Flutes, Kristan Harvey & Tina Rees, StringSound, and Jeana Leslie & Siobhan Miller.  On two weekend days the sessions were open to public drop in, so families came along and benefited from these fun and free musical sessions.  The music groups at the weekend were StringSounds, Aonoch Mor, and Jeana Leslie & Siobhan Miller. Audiences were delighted as their ears (big and little) were introduced to the exciting and colourful world of music in these exciting interactive performances.
